An audio archive offers young parents with a life-limiting illness the opportunity to leave their children their memories, their life story, achievements and failures, their love and wishes for their children in the form of an audiobook. In this way, the children retain not only the memories, but also the voice of their mother or father.
Accompanied by professional audio biographers, but in their own words and with an individual selection of episodes, the terminally ill mothers and fathers tell what is important to them and what they want to leave behind.
The association Hörschatz – founded in Zurich in 2020 by Franziska von Grünigen and Gabriela Meissner – provides audio biographies to affected families and organizes the financing through donations. The audio biographies are free for the families.
